INTRO:CDSis an acronym for “Combined Defence Services” Examination. The “Combined DefenceServices”Examination (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

Eligibility Criteria:

Indian Military Academy (IMA)	19 to 24 years	Degree of a recognized University or equivalent	Unmarried
Indian Naval Academy (NA)	19 to 24 years	Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution	Unmarried
Air Force Academy (AFA)	20 to 24 years	Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering	Unmarried
Officers' Training Academy (OTA - Men)	19 to 25 years	Degree of a recognized University or equivalent	Unmarried and Married
Officers Training Academy (OTA - Women, Non-Technical)	19 to 25 years	Degree of a recognized University or equivalent	Unmarried, Widow and Divorcee

 

Physical Requirment:

Minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 157.5cm (157 for navy and 162.5 cm for Air Force). For Female candidates, minimum acceptable height is 152 cm. There must be no signs of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels.Blood pressure must be normal. Any proof of disease of internal organs of the abdomales will be cause for rejection.

Eyes-6/6 (Better eye), 6/8 (Worse eye) ,For (Navy and Air Force Without glasses only).
